Buying a ‘previously owned’ or ‘used’ motorcycle or scooter doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting a ride that already has a ton of miles on it.

At SF Moto, we currently have close to a dozen previously owned bikes with less than 1,000 miles on them! In January, we featured a green 2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R with only 155 miles on it, and last month a blue 2013 Yamaha 600 FZ6 FZ6R with only 424 miles on it.

For the third month in a row, our Low Mileage Leader has less than 500 miles on it! In fact, the March Low Mileage Leader, a red 2009 SYM Citycom 300i scooter, has just 72 miles on it!

I’ve lived in San Francisco for almost 15 years. During this time, I have never owned a car, and out of the basic need for mobility, decided to buy a Schwinn Cruiser bicycle (which is now collecting a serious amount of dust in the garage).  I’ve been labeled a “Muni-lover,” taking the bus system literally everywhere. I am not proud of the fact I can recite all the various bus lines and their destinations from the 1-California to the 108-Treasure Island.  It’s useless information and gets very boring by the time I arrive at the 30-Stockton (which is the worst of all the bus lines—trying to fight for space with the live chickens being carted around—TRUE fact).
